We are pleased to announce two prestigious contests for college students this year: the 'voice for BT' and 'BEST' program.

'voice for BT' is India's only inter-collegiate public speaking competition for college students, offering them a platform to express their views on various biotechnology topics. This contest aims to promote biotechnology in India and encourage students to pursue higher studies in this field. Colleges can nominate one student to represent their institution. The contest is open to final-year undergraduate students in B. Tech/B.Sc Biotechnology, Food Technology, and Chemical Engineering, as well as first-year post-graduate students. Eminent scientists, academicians, and industry leaders will be part of the jury. The top two winners from each region will compete in the final round for the All India Winners' position. BEST Program: The Biotechnology Entrepreneurship Student Teams (BEST) program aims to encourage student entrepreneurship. It is open to final-year graduate, post-graduate, and doctoral biotech students. Participants will receive broad topics for innovative ideas well in advance. Each participating team will consist of three students from different colleges, presenting their initial ideas to a jury in a closed conference room. The ideas will be kept confidential. The event will be held across all four regions of India. The top two winners from each region will be awarded cash prizes. This initiative will help student teams better understand the challenges in commercialization, regulatory, and patent processes, boosting their motivation to pursue entrepreneurial ventures in biotechnology.
